Florida High Bush
Large glossy, purple fruits with pure-white flesh, this is an old heirloom variety bred in Florida in the 1940’s.

A wonderful eggplant from Ping Tung, Taiwan. Slender fruits so sweet, tender and superbly delicious, this is one of the best at the market.

Isar French Filet
The appealing quality and appearance of this fresh “haricots verts” make it a top choice for gourmet cooks. These beautiful yellow filet beans have a slight “nut like flavor”.

A popular early green bean with a sweet bean taste. Exceptionally tender and delicious.

This traditional Japanese variety of green onion is grown for its high quality. The crisp, sweet, and complex flavor sets it apart from other green onions. Great for salads or stir-fries.
Mars Red Onion
An outstanding red onion. Large slices of this sweet, red and white flesh onion fit a hamburger bun perfectly.
Red Bergermaster
Bright red globe-shaped onions with great flavor for sandwiches or salads.
Super Star
2001 All American Selection winner. The white, globe-shaped bulbs are sweeter than the sweet Spanish type. Great for salads, onion rings, or grilling. This is a J&B favorite!
Peppers
Native to the Americas, peppers come in thousands of varieties, many unusual flavors, and all shaped and sizes. Peppers are delicious, very low in calories and extremely high in vitamin C.
Sweet Banana
One of the most popular sweet pepper, excellent fresh or cooked. The sweet, mild, waxy flesh is delicious cut fresh in salads or grilled.
Sweet Cayenne
Amazingly long, sweet, cayenne-shaped peppers can grow to 1 foot long! These crinkly, thin walled fruit are perfect for use in stir-fries or whenever a frying pepper is needed.
Hot Peppers
Hot peppers are used worldwide more than any other spice. They add zest, magical flavor and heat to numerous dishes.
Habanero
Among the hottest ever measured! Reported to be 15-20 times hotter than the Jalapeno. Lantern-shaped pepper ripens from green to golden orange.
Jalapeno
Indispensable to Mexican cooking, often roasted and chopped and used to season corn bread and famous for nachos. Dark green at first, then turning bright red.
Mariachi
2006 ALL-AMERICAN SELECTIONS WINNER. A favorite with J&B customers. Not as hot as Jalapeno, but hotter than a sweet bell! Fruit matures red, but usually picked when yellow. Lends itself well to grilling with its gourmet fruity flavor.

In just 400 years, the potato has replaced grain as a basic source of nutrition in many nations around the world. The potato provides significant amounts of vitamins and minerals, especially vitamin C and loaded with protein.
Banana Fingerlings
The superstar of the fingerlings and a huge favorite at J&B, this is a sell out at every market we go to. Developed in the Baltic Region of Europe/Asia and heralded as excellent for salads, it is a favorite among gourmet cooks. Yellow, banana-shaped, waxy-type tubers with firm texture have a wonderful flavor baked, boiled and steamed. And you don’t peel them!
Desiree
The most popular “red” potato in Europe. The satin–like pinkish/red skin and creamy-yellow flesh makes it an excellent all-around cooking potato. Great with fresh green beans.
Purple Majesty
This potato is purple inside and out. Developed by Dr. Holm in Colorado, it is bred to be a frying potato, but is outstanding baked or boiled. These potatoes have nearly twice the amount of anthocyanidins found in any other produce item. Anthocyanidins are known to reduce the risk of cancer and heart disease.
Radishes
Refreshingly crisp as well as peppery, radishes are fun to eat and surprisingly versatile in the kitchen
Early Scarlet
The classic round red radish. Crisp white flesh is mild and tasty.
French Breakfast
A pre-1885 French heirloom from Southern France. Cylindrical, rose-scarlet tops, fading to white at the tips. White flesh is crisp and pungent.
Helios
Named for the Greek God of the sun, this heirloom came from Alzbeta Kovacova-Pecarova of Kosice, Czechoslovakia. The bright yellow, olive-shipped radish with white flesh is beautiful and delicious.
Philadelphia White Box
Listed in 1938 by the D. Landreth Seed Company as a good variety for forcing in boxes. This crisp, small white radish quickly became popular with market growers who came to know it by Philadelphia White Box.

With the wide range of colors, shapes, flavors and culinary uses, squash brings endless enjoyment to meals.
Patty Pan
A J&B signature crop since our first year at farmers’ market. The bright, deep yellow skin with scalloped edges is a real eye-catcher. It has a clean fresh taste which a great grilled, baked, sautéed or eaten fresh in a salad.
Zephyr
A distinctive, slender squash yellow with faint white stripes and light green blossom ends. The delicious nutty taste and firm texture is the perfect addition to a grilled vegetable platter, can be stuffed, or fresh with a dip.
Raven Zucchini
he dark green skin contains high levels of lutein, a highly effective antioxidant. Wonderful for stuffing, grilling, frying or bread!
Snow Peas
The most versatile of peas-eat both peas and pods. Wonderful raw, steamed or stir-fried.
Snow Sweet
Extra tender, flat pod snow pea, very sweet, crisp and favorable. Great raw in salads or stir-fried.
